Postproduction

Through editing, we fused the shots together to create tension in our opening scene. During postproduction, we used technology like editing software, computers and phones. I learned how to properly connect shots and operate multiple editing software applications like DaVinci Resolve 16, CapCut, and WeVideo. While figuring out the softwares, I decided to help myself with YouTube tutorials for DaVinci Resolve 16.

The conventions of titling in our movie genre is eerie/edgy titles. For example, "The Conjuring" or "The Ring". We used slow movement and a match cut for our credits/title sequence. For the rest of the opening scene, we used match cuts and cutting on action. Throughout the film, the only sounds we used were music, dialogue on one shot, and a small scream at the end. We're adding these sounds to our film through CapCut, one of the editing softwares we used. We also used CapCut to add the black and white filter.

The Conjuring influenced our first shot, with a close up of the antagonist.

When Angelo moved the camera slowly from the floor to eye level, it gave us an "A-ha" moment. We realized this shot could be useful and we decided to include it in the final product.

After we were done filming the first time, we realized we weren't wearing the same clothes in the shots. We had to redo every shot and we tried to improve our acting.
